This issue of the Hip Hop Educational Literacy Program (H.E.L.P.) uses a portion of Barack Obama's 2008 "Yes We Can" speech (interpreted as a song of the same name by global music artist, will.i.am) as an anchor text for exploration to 60+ literacy-based activities, scaffolded across all reading levels, K-12: Beginner (K-2), Early (3-5) Intermediate (6-8) and Advanced (9-12).
